On 17th February 2023, a special address on “தொழில்நுட்பம், தோழமை கொள் தோழி” was conducted in Pragathi Hall at 2.00 p.m. The programme commenced with the prayer song and Tamilthai Vazhthu by students followed by lighting the Kuthu vilakku by the dignitaries. Ms.A.Vedhavarshini of II B.A. English welcomed the gathering.
Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman and Smt.Mangai Natarajan, the Correspondent of Paavai Institutions honoured the chief guest with shawl and memento. Chairman Sir in his presidential address stated that Paavai organizes lot of events, lectures and motivational speeches to empower women. He then said that women should encounter hesitations and inhibitions to exhibit themselves in appropriate time and forum. He advised the students to be good, energetic and powerful all the time. He concluded his speech by encouraging the students to be empowered every minute, every second and maintain decorum, discipline and up skill themselves.
Ms. P.Shalini of II B.Com introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest, Ms.S.Vaijayanthi, Associate Partner, IBM Consulting, Bangalore, in her Special address imprinted the saying “Knowledge is power” through her personal experiences. She said that women should invest their time, talent and thoughts with aspiration and capability, realize their strengths and weaknesses and move forward towards goal regardless of the obstacles they face. She also said that students should go for opportunities, ask questions and be bold enough to stand up for themselves. She insisted them to act as a self-sufficient personality, up skill and reskill with perseverance. She concluded her speech by asking the students to embrace, empower and respect technology.
Trophies were awarded to the first prize winner Pavai Regals, second prize winner Pavai Monarchs and third prize winner Pavai Consorts of Sristi 2023.
The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by B.Jananee, III B.A. English followed by the National Anthem.
Principals of Paavai Instituitions, Professors of Faculty Development Department, Heads of various departments and the staff members of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women graced the occasion by their presence.
