The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics arranged an Industrial Visit to Sakthi Sugars Limited – Soya Division, Marchinaickenpalayam, Pollachi on Saturday 26.03.2022.
Forty students and four faculties visited the industry to acquire experience and knowledge about the processing and production of soya and technology development of soya products.
The general manager of Sakthi Soyas conducted very informative session for the students. Initially Food Safety officer of the industry gave a brief introduction about the Sakthi Sugars Limited – Soya Division and then he took the students to visit the plant and explained about the processing of soya and its by-products.
After the industrial visit students were taken to Aliyardam, a popular tourist destination to obtain minutiae about the reservoir.
