On 26thSeptember 2022, a special address on “பெரிதினும்பெரிதுகொள்” was conducted in Pragathi Hall at 2.00 p.m. The programme commenced with the prayer song and Tamilthai Vazhthu by students followed by lighting the Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries.Ms.A.Vedhavarshini of II B.A. English welcomed the gathering.
Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman and Smt.Mangai Natarajan, the Correspondent of Paavai Institutions honoured the chief guest with shawl and memento.Chairman Sir in his presidential address stated that the objective of organizing Paavai mission of Women Empowerment Series is to empower women, so as to empower their family, institution, society and nation. He asserted that when one follows the words of high power of nature or wise people, one will acquire knowledge and reach high. He proclaimed that positive forces spread slow but sure. He advised the students to give importance to moral values, be punctual and duty conscious, build characters to acquire the best of the best. He concluded his speech by assuring that Paavai will transform girls into pearls with all good qualities and moral values.
Ms. A.P.Manjavadivu of I B.A. English introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest, Dr.Kiruba Karuppannan, Data Scientist, ELPIS IT Solutions Pvt Ltd., Bangalore, insisted the students to believe their inner strength, hold a motive in life and be independent financially to retain happiness. She asserted that students should be never content with whatever acquired and listen more to learn lot. She asked the students to desire a clear goal, go for it with clear vision by making use of the choices that life provides.She further said that Exposure and Interaction confer experience to succeed. She added that girl students should have self motivation, so that when they fall down once, they can get up with giant leap without any regret of failure. She concluded her speech by asking the students to choose their career path, make use of the resources on campus which provides strong base for women empowerment apart from career and wished all the best to travel in successful path with the guidance of teachers and parents.
The Correspondent of Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. In her felicitation, she stated that dress code for Pavai women is the reflection of Pavai Slogan “Penmai Potruthum”. She insisted the students to have the guts to use science only for the progress of their life. She then said that the motif behind Women Empowerment series is to improve the knowledge of the girl students over the globe, to expose them to the society and to reach high. She also strongly insisted the students to face the truth, accept it and act accordingly, receive inspiration from others, work hard, search for success and achieve it.She recapped the emotional state of parents who undergo struggles for their children’s worthy life and requested the students to understand respect and serve their parents. She then asked them to build their profile, invest more time and opportunity on personal health and wished them all success by uplifting their inner power and self-motivation.
The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by M.Saranyadevi, III B.A. English followed by the National Anthem.
Principals of Paavai Instituitions, (Professors of Faculty Development Department), Heads of various departments and the staff members of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women graced the occasion by their presence.
