The Department of NUTRTION AND DIETETICS conducted an association activity ‘LEUKORRHEA AND MENSTURATION’ at Keerthi hall on 22.02.2024 in Pavai Arts and Science College for Women. B. R Melvina of II B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics welcomed the gathering. The students from the department of Physics, Chemistry, Geology, English and mathematics participated in this activity.
In this programme, students of 3rd year and 2nd year gave a presentation on the topic Leucorrhea (white discharge) and Menstruation. R.Veerapairavi and K.Priyadharshini of 3rd N & D discussed the topic white discharge, causes, types, signs, and foods to be included and avoided for Leukorrhea. B.R.Melvina and S.Sharmila of 2nd N & D discussed Menstruation cycle, reasons for irregular periods and played a video on menstrual hygiene. Activities like Quiz, yoga for irregular periods were also conducted. In Quiz session, the department of chemistry students answered more questions and won the prize. So through this session awareness on menstrual hygiene and Leukorrhea (white discharge) was given to the students.
S.Sharmila of II B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics proposed the vote of thanks. Principal and Heads of various departments observed the activities and appreciated the efforts taken by the staff and students of Nutrition and Dietetics department.
