On August 20, 2024, the Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture on the topic “Hardware Troubleshooting and Maintenance.” The event commenced at 2:00 pm in Keerthi Hall with a prayer song. Harini from II B.Sc CS welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest speaker, Mr. T. Senthilraja, Managing Director of Green Cad Tech.
The guest speaker delivered a comprehensive and insightful lecture on computer hardware, meticulously explaining the distinct functions and roles of each part, including the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and storage devices. He also discussed the complexities of processor selection, offering valuable guidance on choosing the optimal processor for various devices based on their unique configuration requirements. Additionally, he empowered the audience with a deep understanding of hardware troubleshooting, providing a clear, step-by-step roadmap for identifying and resolving hardware failures with confidence.
The students actively participated and gained valuable insights into computer hardware troubleshooting. The session concluded with feedback from the students. Asmitha from II B.Sc CS proposed the vote of thanks, and the event ended with the National Anthem.
