NCC, NSS and YRC conducted an Awareness Program on “First Aid Awareness Programme” on 14thSeptember 2022. The programme commenced with the prayer song. Ms. V. Iswarya of II B. Sc Computer Science welcomed the gathering.Lt. G. Prema, HoD, Department of Commerce gave an introduction about First Aid.
The Guest speaker Mr. C. Loganathan, Ex. NCC Officer, Head of Audio visual, Paavai Institutions,in his speech shared his experience that changed his life by learning “Life Skills” and “First Aid Awareness”. He explained the importance of First Aid and how to make first aid box. He then gave awareness to handle choking, fainting, Artificial respiration (CPR), drowning, fire accident, fracture, injured, bleeding, poisoning, etc., clearly. He then detailed the aim, purpose and principles of first aid. Finally, he showed some video clips to deal with accidents.
The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. S. Sharmila of I B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics.
