Math Association conducted an activity ‘FUN WITH MATHS’ at Keerthi hall on 23.08.2023 in Pavai Arts and Science College for Women. The programme commenced with the prayer song. M.Yogapriya of III B.Sc. mathematics welcomed the gathering.
In this programme students were divided into five teams ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, DELTA, SIGMA. Each team contained five students each. There were five rounds. First round was ‘Math connection’, in which team first connected the pictures to find the mathematical word within 30 seconds. The winner team of first round was ‘BETA’. Second round was ‘JUMBLED WORDS’, in which jumbled words were arranged in order in 30 seconds. The winner team of second round was ’ALPHA’. Third round was ‘COLLAPSING’ in which Pictures were presented to find number of balls and colours in the given pictures within 30 seconds. The winner teams were ‘ALPHA and DELTA’. The Fourth was ‘QUIZ’ in which mathematical questions were triggered to the teams. The winner team was ‘ALPHA’. Fifth round was ‘MAJORITY’, in which the teams were to find the total numbers within 30 seconds. Finally, team ‘ALPHA’ was announced as the overall winner.
B.Asma Taj of III B.Sc. Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks and the activity came to an end with National Anthem.
