On 21.01.2014, Math Association conducted a guest lecture on “Graph Theory and its Applications”. The programme commenced with the prayer song by the students at 3.00 p.m. in Keerthi Hall. Ms.K.Sowmiya of III B.Sc., Mathematics welcomed the gathering. Ms.V.PrabhaDevi, Lecturer, Department of Mathematics read the Minutes of the previous association activity. The special guest, Mr.F.Anthoni Robert Xavier, Asst.Professor, Department of Mathematics, Paavai College of Engineering, addressed the gathering on the topic “Graph Theory and its Applications”. He spoke about the Graph Theory and its elements in detail. He also explained Euler Theory, Konigsberg bridges, Hamilton circuits, Postman problem and friendship network. He made the students understand them more clearly through his effective power point presentation. The students took active participation and responded to his questions. His interaction with the students cleared the latters’ doubts. Ms.M.Yamunadevi of I M.Sc., Mathematics proposed the Vote of thanks and the programme came to end with the National Anthem.
