International Women’s Day was conducted on 08th March 2020 through Google Meet at 11.00 am. The programme commenced with the prayer song. Dr.K.Umamaheshwari, Head, Department of Tamil welcomed the gathering.
The Chairman of Paavai Institutions in his presidential address reiterated Paavai Manthra “ngz;ik Nghw;WJk;” and expressed his pride of having women folks as his students and praised women for their mental strength, endurance and responsibilities as mother, wife and daughter. He wished women of Paavai to succeed in life and lead the society.
The Correspondent of Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. In her felicitation, she expressed her happiness on heeding to the intrepid voices of the students after a long gap and said that women should feed their mind with good thoughts and make use of modern technologies in a right way for their growth. She asked the students to initiate their dreams into action, since action and success speak louder. She insisted the students to learn good things and blessed them to shine in all the fields as strong women.
The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs.N.Kalaiarasi, Head, Department of English followed by the National Anthem.
