On behalf of Paavai Educational Institutions, the 73rd Independence day of our Nation was celebrated at Kalpana Chawla Open Theatre, in a colourful and grand manner. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions hoisted the national flag and accepted the guard of honour and march past of Paavai students. The Chairman appreciated and awarded the certificates to Mr.Ranjith and Ms.Subhashree, III year Agri for their participation in Republic day parade camp 2019, Chennai. In the Independence day address, Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman stated that, our country is rich in its heritage, culture, tradition, prosperity, human resources and natural resources. India is known for its concept, “Unity in Diversity” there are different religions, languages, colour, food, tradition, customs, way of living, but all people belong to the same nation. Hence our country’s identity is unity in diversity. He also highlighted that, India is the largest democratic country in the world. He emphasized that the nation of the world, look forward, to India for its growing economy and its contribution to the world economy. India is progressing in the area of science and technology, medical care, rocket science, satellite, technology of atomic bomb and many more innovations in the robotic technology. But at the same time, there is poverty, corruption, terrorism, intolerance, violation, disappearance of value system, culture pervades equally in our county. The Chairman stressed that there should be change, in the perception of people, to bring back the culture and tradition of our country. There are five principles which establish our rich culture of India. they are,
1. The law and power should be respected and it should be treated equal for all the people.
2. Family system need to be followed in the society and sustain the quality such as love and sacrifice to maintain the humanity.
3. Patience and perseverance should be equally practiced by all people
4. The educational institution should have the frame work of “Guru-Sishya” relationship, in which teachers and students should work together to attain the educational goals and attainment for the betterment of the nation.
5. There should be secularism, patriotism and unity among people to make the society a peaceful place to live in.
The chairman ascertained that, the educational institution, society, students and parents integrate themselves and follow the above five principles, then, India would be surely to become a developed nation. As a gesture of appreciation, certificates for the students who donated blood under NSS and YRC, students who participated as a volunteers for Loksabha election and social upliftment, and students who participated and won in competitions – held in connection with independence day celebrations were distributed by Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Directors. In this grand occasion, Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Shri.N.Palanivel, Joint Secretary Shri.K.Senthil, Director – Admissions , Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director – Administration, Principals, Vice – Principals, Deans, COE, Head of the various department, Professors and students participated in this celebration. The programme came to an end with National Anthem.
