Department of Nutrition and Dietetics conducted a webinar on the title ‘Journey of the First 1000 Days’ on 3rd September 2021 through Google Meet. The programme commenced with the prayer song by Ms.C.Nandhini of III B.Sc. N&D. Ms.S.poonguzhali of III B.Sc. N&D welcomed the gathering.
Ms.R.P.Gokulasri of II B.Sc. N&D introduced the Guest Speaker. The Guest speaker Ms. Anju ,Nutritionist ICDS Thrithala Block Palakad, Keralain her speech gave a brief introduction to ICDS and their schemes. She also explained the uses of immunization and government immunization schedule.Then she detailed about first 1000 days of foetus’ growth to baby. She clearly explained about baby’s growth with nutrition requirements and also about breast feeding advantages.
The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.S.Kamalishri of II B.Sc. N&D.
