A Guest Lecture on the topic, ‘Differential Equations’ was organised by the Department of Mathematics of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 29.08.2019 in Keerthi Hall at 02.00 p.m. All UG and PG students of the Department of Mathematics attended the Guest Lecture. The programme started with the prayer song by the students. A.Nihar Begum of III B.Sc. Mathematics welcomed the gathering. K.Soundarya of II M.Sc. Mathematics introduced the Guest Speaker Dr.V.Ganesan, Assistanat Professor and Head of Mathematics, Arignar Anna Government Arts College. The Guest speaker in his special address explained the basics of the differential equations and its applications through PowerPoint presentation. He highlighted the Ordinary Differential Equations, which is one of the type of Differential Equations and he showed the models of Ordinary Differential Equations. Students actively and enthusiastically observed the lecture and gained enough information on the topic. D.Monisha of III B.Sc. Mathematics proposed the Vote of Thanks and the Guest Lecture came to an end with National Anthem.
