On 7th February 2019, Alumni Series 1 : Way to Success was conducted in Keerthi Hall at 10.30 am. The programme commenced with the prayer song. K.Soundarya of I M.Sc. Mathematics welcomed the gathering. The Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women felicitated the gathering. In her felicitation, she stated that students should learn how to succeed in life by listening to the successful stories of achievers. She said that learning is easy, but learning with interest is the easiest way to learn. Also she asserted that healthy competitions among the learners will lead them to high position. She insisted the students not to have negative thoughts and do good to others as it returns in double. She then asked the students to make their parents feel proud of them and wished the students to achieve all success in their life. K.Subhalakshmi of III B.Sc. Mathematics introduced the guest speakers, who were the alumni of the batch 2009 to 2012 in Pavai Arts and Science College for Women. The Guest speaker Mrs.D.Parashakthi, Secondary Grade Teacher, Panchayat Union Elementary School, Kongupatti, Salem, in her special address asked the students to aim high, and keep on trying and work hard to achieve it. She asked the students to be more attentive and receptive in the classroom and insisted to ask questions and doubts to the teachers regarding the subject, which will help them to get centum and high percentage. She also said that parents will always think good for their children and hence the students should focus their attention only on their studies. She praised the management and the principal organized more motivational programmes and the teachers who taught with full involvement. She felt proud of being a Paavian, and thanked the management for helping her to reach the heights in her life. The Guest speaker Mrs.A.Jameenabanu, Secondary Grade Teacher, Panchayat Union Elementary School, Dharapuram, Salem, in her special address asked the students to set a goal, manage the time accordingly and accept the changes, which are the ways to success. She said that a goal with high confidence will lead to success in a short span of time. She requested the students not to discontinue their studies at any cost, since education alone helps them to stand on their own legs. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the management and the teachers who laid her the ladder of success and for giving her another opportunity to meet her teachers and the college. I and II UG Students of the Department of Mathematiacs were the audience. The heads of other departments graced the occasion with their presence. K.Vaumathi of II B.Sc. Mathematics proposed the Vote of thanks and the activity came to an end with National Anthem.
