A Guest Lecture on the topic, ‘International Financial Reporting Standards’ was organised by the Department of Commerce of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 23.08.2019 in Keerthi Hall at 02.00 p.m. All UG and PG students of the Department of Commerce attended the Guest Lecture. The programme started with the prayer song by the students. K. Gowri of II B.Com welcomed the gathering. R. Anusha of I B.Com. C.A. introduced the Guest Speaker Dr.R.Eswaran, Assistant Professor of Commerce, Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College. The Guest speaker in his special address explained in detail the International Financial Reporting Standards, its convergence and category. He also expressed his views regarding the challenges faced by Indians in implementing the International Financial Reporting Standards. The session was highly interactive and the students learned a lot about International Financial Reporting Standards through the session. V.V.Sariga of I B.Com proposed the Vote of Thanks and the Guest Lecture came to an end with National Anthem.
