The Computer Science Department conducted its Association activity, “Subject Quiz” on 31st January 2013 at Keerthi hall. The audience for the activity were the students of the Computer Science department, student representatives from other departments and the faculty members. The session began with the prayer song, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. Ms. E.Tharani, I B.Sc (CS) welcomed the gathering. The Vice- President of the association Mrs. K.Vimala, Head, Department of computer Science read the minutes of the previous association activity. The Ex-officio President of the Association, Dr.S.Muthumeenakshi, Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women accepted the Minutes. The quiz competition was based on the fundamental concepts of computers. There were five groups named on the basis of leading Multinational companies – HCL, MICROSOFT, DELL, WIPRO and TCS. Each group consisted of five members and the Quiz master was Mrs. M.Ranjani, lecturer. She was assisted by the scorers Mrs.K.Vimala and Mrs. D.Kokila. There was active participation by the students and the audience also showed curiosity in identifying the answers. The winners for the day were the WIPRO team-P.Anandha Kumari I B.Sc (CS), A. priya II B.Sc (CS), P.Kaliavani III B.Sc (CS), S.S.Soundaryaroja III B.Sc (CS) and V.Ragavi III B.Sc (CS). The activity came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms.V.Prarthana, II B.Sc(CS).
