On the occasion of Science Day, the Department of Geology organized a program on 01.03.2025 on the topic of Climate Change at Keerthi Hall, followed by an exhibition at the Geology Lab. Students from Civil Engineering, Geology, and other science departments were invited to attend the program.
The event commenced with a prayer song by our sister. Ms. K. Durai Priya, a student of III B.Sc Geology, delivered the welcome address. Dr. N. Ezhili, Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, gave the presidential address, sharing her insights and experiences.
The chief guest and jury for the program, Dr. Sharmiladevi, HoD of Civil Engineering, Pavai Engineering College, addressed the gathering and shared valuable thoughts on the topic. The poster presentation competition then began, with enthusiastic participation from students of various colleges. After the competition, Dr. Sharmiladevi provided constructive feedback and suggestions to the participants.
All students who attended the program also visited the Geology Exhibition in the Geology Lab, where they explored various exhibits related to the theme.
This session provided valuable insights into how climate change occurs, its causes, and its impact on both humans and other living organisms.
