The EDC Club of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, Anaipalayam, organized a one-day workshop on “Textile Screen Printing” at Arivanandha Arangam on 13th August 2024. Mr. M. Rajavel, Chairman of Raja Screen Painting and a Life Member of the Screen Printer’s Association of India, served as the guest trainer for the event. The workshop was organized by EDC Club Coordinator Mrs. T. Poongodi, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, and EDC Club Assistant Coordinator Ms. K. Vinotha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science. Ms. G. Aishwarya, Assistant Professor, Department of English, welcomed the guest and the gathering.
The session began with the trainer introducing himself and providing an overview of the training program. He then explained and demonstrated five types of screen printing to the students: Single Colour Printing, Double Colour Printing, Leaf Design Printing, Gold Colour Printing, and Silver Colour Printing. The students were given hands-on experience in printing on fabric.
A total of 107 students from various departments participated in the workshop. At the end of the session, certificates were awarded to the students by Mr. M. Rajavel, Chairman of Raja Screen Painting, and Senior Principal Madam, Dr. N. Ezhili.
