Literature Association Activity on Time with Rhyme was held on September 7, 2023 to improve the decoding skills and fluency of the students. In this session the students from English department came out with multiplicities of rhymes. The students from II B.A English and III B.A English were the performers of this activity and the rest of the students of English department and other departments were the audience. PG students fervently conducted this activity for their UG sisters. The students sang the rhymes actively with actions. The students from various departments also sang the rhymes along with the performers. They thoroughly enjoyed the rhymes and were fully engaged throughout.
The activity induced the students to work on key phonemic awareness and fluency skills with rhyming words. They also became more confident in their letter and sound recognition. The good rhyme singers were appreciated by HoD mam.
Dr.J.Thavamani, Principal, headed the event and the staff members of the Department of English extended their fullest support to the students.
