On 21.09.2022 Department of Chemistry organised an association activity on the topic CHEMEXPO ACT 22 in Keerthi Hall at 2.00pm. The program commenced with prayer song by the students. Our respectable Principal madam Dr J Thavamani, headed the event and Dr. A Rubavathy Jaya Priya, HoD i/c, Department of Chemistry, organized the programme with the support of staff members and encouraged the students to participate in the event. Students with their innovative thoughts and ideas prepared many natural products. Mrs. K. Anna, III B.Sc Chemistry prepared herbal bathing powder, Ms. D. Poornima, III B.Sc. Chemistry prepared Dandruff free Conditioner, Ms. S. Kanimozhi, III B.Sc Chemistry prepared face glowing cream, Ms. S. Harshini II B.Sc Chemistry prepared Lip balm, Ms. S. Hema, II B.Sc Chemistry prepared Face clear gel, Ms. A. Nisha, II B.Sc Chemistry prepared Kajal, Ms. S Jaya Priya II B.Sc Chemistry and Ms. A. Atchayavarshini, II B.Sc Chemistry demonstrated the invisible test. Ms. M. Niviya II B.Sc Chemistry and B. Dharshini, II B. Sc Chemistry demonstrated the importance of titrations, Mrs. P. Tharanika, III B.Sc Chemistry and Ms. T Kavipriya, III B.Sc Chemistry performed a test and explained the presence of protein, carbohydrate, nitrate in a given substance.
Dr. A. Rubavathy Jaya Priya demonstrated and explained the preparation of Phenol and Dr D. Uma demonstrated and explained the preparation of soap for large scale uses. Program ended with the National Anthem.
