A Guest Lecture on the topic, ‘Internet of Things” was organised by the Department of Computer Science of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 22.09.2022 in Keerthi Hall at 11.00a.m. All UG and PG students of the Department of Computer Science attended the Guest Lecture.
The programme started with the prayer song by the students and S.Saburna of III B.Sc. Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Ms.S.Farjana of III B.C.A introduced the Guest Speaker Mr.E.Elanchezhiyan,M.E.,(Ph.D)., Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Paavai Engineering College, Pachal. In his speech, he explained about Internet of Things, use of IoT and its applications with some real time examples like home automation, environmental monitoring and transportation. He detailed to the students how the automate devices, electronics, vehicles etc. are connected through IoT. He also described the micro controller and processor such as Raspberry PI and ARDUINO, which are the electrical components connected to the circuit board in a system. He finally concluded his lecture with door automation system. The students learned the concepts of the topic in a simple and clear way.
R.Sowmiya of III B.C.A proposed the Vote of Thanks and the Guest Lecture came to an end with National Anthem.
