Department of Commerce, PASCW and Department of Management Studies, PEC in association with Department of Commerce, Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Brickwork Ratings Pvt Ltd conducted a seminar on “Financial Literacy” on 16.09.2022
The programme commenced with the prayer song. Ms. D. M. Varshini of III B Com welcomed the gathering.Ms K.S. Jananiof II B.Com introduced the Guest Speaker.
The guest speaker Dr. MATHEW THOMAS,Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Manipal Academy of Higher Education, in his speech, elucidated some aspects like Cut down expenses and Budget planning for future growth and savings. He gave some ideas and tips to the students to invest money in different sectors. He also explained the concept of stock markets, savings accounts, Mutual funds and commodities.He further clearly detailed different types of investments and concluded his session with Brickwork ratings and investments.
Ms.G. Sadhana of III .B.com CA delivered the vote of thanks. Finally the programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
All the third year students of our college keenly observed the session and were impressed by the statement of the guest speaker “Save money and Money will save you”.
