The first year inauguration ceremony for 2022-23 batch took place on 24.08.2022 in the forenoon in Pragathi Hall of Pavai Educational Institutions. Smt.Mangai Natarajan lit the lamp along with dignitaries following which there were bajans and slogan chantings.
Dr.J.Thavamani, the Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women welcomed the gathering. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Education Institutions hoisted the Paavai flag and warmly greeted the parents and the students. In his presidential address, he explained that the five faces of the lamp that they had lighted up that day symbolize students, parents, teachers, society and management. He continued that all these stakeholders (five faces) would work in unison so as to give the best education and virtues to the students, leading to desirable employment in the days to come. He further persisted that Paavai is the outcome of the dream of its founder and therefore the parents can trust its principles and the management. He stated that education affords financial support and security to the women folk in the society and Paavai further provides the foothold to the students to design and fulfill their future. He assured the parents that Paavai shall shoulder the responsibility of looking after the educational needs of their wards.
The Correspondent, in her felicitation address emphasized the significance of the logo of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women’s ‘பெண்மை போற்றுதும்’ and Paavai Mantra ‘Own our words and deeds’. She highlighted on the parent-daughter relationship and insisted certain do’s and dont’s to both parents and their daughters in their relationship. She then emphasized that Pavai stands for ‘determination’ and therefore all the students will be trained to be women of character faith, honest and wisdom. She proclaimed that Paavai women will be provided with the education that teaches them to handle any situations and instill positive impulse to help them learn all subjects easily. She also assured that students shall be molded, given an identity in the society and get employed with the help of the placement resources available on the premises.
Mrs.N.Kalaiarasi, the Head of the Department of English introduced the HoDs of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women to the audience. Dr.K.Umamaheswari, the HoD of Tamil proposed the Vote of Thanks.
At the end of the inauguration ceremony, the first year students performed Paatha Pooja to their parents.
Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, the Director-Admin, Mr.K.Senthil, the Director-Admission, Dean English, and the Principals of Paavai Engineering Colleges graced the inauguration.
