A Guest Lecture on the topic, Big Data Analytics was organised by the Department of Computer Science of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 07.08.2019 in Keerthi Hall at 02.00 p.m. All UG and PG students of the Department of Computer Science attended the Guest Lecture. The programme started with the prayer song by the students. R.Deepika of II B.Sc. Computer Science welcomed the gathering. J.Mounika of III B.C.A introduced the Guest Speaker Mrs.V.Annapoorani, M.C.A., M.Phil., (Ph.D)., Associate Professor of M.C.A., Paavai Engineering College. The Guest speaker in her special address gave a crystal clear idea about Big data and its varieties.She also explained about the issues of Legacy systems, techniques to resolve the issues and the role of Hadoop in solving the issues. Students received adequate knowledge related to the topic in the session. J.Vishnupriya of II B.Sc. Computer Science proposed the Vote of Thanks and the Guest Lecture came to an end with National Anthem.
