PG Seminar on the topic, ‘Spectral Graph Theory’ was conducted by the Department of Mathematics of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 26.02.2019 in Keerthi Hall at 11.00 a.m. All UG and PG students of the Department of Mathematics attended the Seminar. The Inaugural session of the programme started with the prayer song by the students. Ms.M.Nandhini, I M.Sc. Mathematics welcomed the gathering. Dr.R.Rajeswari, Principal felicitated the gathering. She then released the CD and the volume of articles presented by the students. Ms.R.Roseleen Nithiya, Assistant Professor of Mathematics presented the prelude to the seminar. She, in her prelude gave a short note on the Spectral Graph Theory. Ms.L.Vidhya, Assistant Professor of Mathematics introduced the Guest Speaker Mrs.K.Vimhala, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Paavai Engineering College. The Guest speaker in her special address described Spectral Graph Theory and its properties in detail. She also explained how to represent the graph and apply it in the daily walks of life through power point presentation. Soon after the special address, Paper presentation session was held in which twenty five students of PG presented their papers. The Valedictory function of the Seminar started at 3.00 p.m. The students who participated in the seminar came out with their words of feedback. Ms.K.Meenakshi of I.M.Sc. Mathematics proposed the Vote of Thanks and the seminar came to an end with National Anthem.
