T On 31-08-2012, the Fine Arts Association of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, conducted a light music competition for the students. Nearly 250 students including the representatives of all the other departments took part in the activity held in the Keerthi Hall. The faculty members also formed a part of the audience. The activity began in the afternoon with the welcome address delivered by Miss P. Dhivya of Second B.A. English.
Mrs. M. Ranjani, lecturer in the department of computer science introduced the office bearers to the gathering. The introduction was followed by the oath taking led by Miss N. Kalaiarasi, Head of the Department of English. Nearly 60 participants took part in the solo/group singing competition.
The judges for the competition were Dr. K. Umamaheshwari and Mrs. K. Rajeshwari from the Department of Tamil and Miss R.P.N. Ezhil from the Department of English. The active participation by the students was a great boost to the rest of the students and the audience sat spellbound listening to mesmerizing voice of the nightingales.
This special day came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Miss V. Prarthana of Second B.Sc. Computer Science.
