The fine arts association activity was conducted on 07-02-2013 in the Keerthi hall. The programme began by evoking the presence of the Almighty through the prayer song which was sung by the students. Ms.D.Sowmiya of I BBA welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Aneesha Ananth, Lecturer, Department of English read the minutes of the previous association activities. The activity for the day was based on the works of the famous Tamil writer Kalki. The students enacted the story ‘Jeevaathaaram’ and ‘Pagal Thookam’. The story ‘Jeevathaaram’ depicted the happiness prevailing in a financially and well balanced family and the chaos and confusion existing in the irresponsible, drunkard’s family. The enactment of ‘Pagal Kanavu’ or day dreaming brought to limelight the lamentations of Bharath Matha to the indifferent nature of humans towards the sufferings of the fellow human beings and a call for ‘Healing the world’ from the present situation. The expressions of the students, their acting ability and the costumes worn are greatly appreciable. The activity came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. M.Vinitha of II BA english
