Pavai Arts and Science College for Women celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day on 01.09.2026 at Keerthi Hall under the theme “Empowering Entrepreneurs: World Entrepreneur Day & Pavai Bazaar 2026.”

The programme commenced with a prayer song and Tamil Thai Vazhthu presented by the students. Ms. S. Prathiuksha, III B.Com. (CA), welcomed the gathering.

Shri CA N.V.Natarajan, the Founder and Chairman of Paavai Institutions, honoured the Chief Guest with a memento and delivered the presidential address. In his address, he highlighted the essential qualities of a successful entrepreneur and stated that Vision, Resilience, and Adaptability are the three key skills required to become a successful entrepreneur. He emphasized the importance of having a clear understanding of the process, procedure, and product. He also stressed that customer satisfaction and continuous improvement are essential for retaining customers and achieving profitability.

Ms. S. Subashini, II B.Com. (CA), introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Gurushankar Selvam, Project Lead – Erode HUB, Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM), Government of Tamil Nadu.

In his keynote address, the Chief Guest stated that “crazy ideas” can inspire people to become entrepreneurs. He spoke about the remarkable evolution of startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship in recent years. He encouraged students to identify a valid and pressing problem and develop an effective solution to address it, thereby creating value and generating income.

He emphasized that creating value, continuous learning, leading from the front, and accepting failure are essential qualities of an entrepreneur. He also shared the distinction between the rich and the poor by stating that “if money works for you, you are rich; if you work for money, you are poor.”

Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, felicitated the gathering. In her address, she emphasized the importance of financial independence for women. She highlighted that consistency and product reach are vital for the success of entrepreneurs. She also introduced the concepts of agropreneur, sociopreneur, and edupreneur, encouraging students to explore diverse entrepreneurial opportunities.

She stated that we are the support system of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and emphasized the importance of knowledge sharing through production and services. She also highlighted the organized structure of Pavai Bazaar as a platform for students to gain practical exposure to entrepreneurship and business.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. D. R. Lohitha, I B.Sc. Geology, followed by the National Anthem.
