On 14.07.2026, the Department of English, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women organized a One-Day Workshop on “Spoken English” for all first-year students at Keerthi Hall.

The workshop commenced with a prayer song and Tamil Thai Vazhthu presented by our students. The Vice Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women graced the occasion and presented a memento to the Chief Guest. Ms. R. Mamathiy of II B.Tech AI & DS welcomed the gathering, while Ms. V. Prathuiksha of III B.Com (CA) introduced the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest, Mrs. V. Divya, Founder and Director of Spark English Academy, Namakkal, addressed the students on the importance of English in today’s world. She emphasized the need to step out of one’s comfort zone and communicate confidently. Through a series of engaging and interactive activities, she guided the students from basic English communication to advanced speaking skills. She also screened a motivational video to inspire and boost the students’ confidence.

The students participated enthusiastically in the activities and confidently came forward to demonstrate their speaking skills before their peers. Ms. S. Pavai of II B.Sc. Cyber Security proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
