Trekking Activity

Paavai Arts and Science College for Women organized a vibrant trekking activity on 25 September 2026 in association with NCC, NSS, and YRC. The destination was the scenic Alavai Malai Murugan Temple at Palanthinnipatti.

Around 800 students and 50 faculty members enthusiastically participated in the trek. For many of the students and faculty members, it was their first trekking experience, making the event even more special and memorable. Students and faculty trekked together, encouraging and supporting one another throughout the journey. The activity provided a wonderful opportunity to gain first-hand trekking experience, develop team spirit, and connect with nature beyond the classroom.

The NCC students took the lead and guided the entire group with discipline and care. As part of an eco-friendly initiative, the NSS and YRC students distributed around 300 seed balls containing Neem seeds along the hill path to promote afforestation and support biodiversity.

The participants enjoyed the climb, the lush natural surroundings, and the serene atmosphere of the hill temple. They had darshan of Lord Murugan and received His blessings. The students and faculty members also shared lunch together in the pleasant weather, adding to the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie.

The faculty members motivated the students and ensured their safety, discipline, and well-being throughout the activity. Overall, the trekking activity was a memorable blend of adventure, devotion, physical well-being, environmental awareness, teamwork, and togetherness. It left the participants with cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for nature and cultural heritage.
