The Department of Mathematics, Paavai Arts and Science College for Women, organized a seminar on “Connect Mathematics to AI with Real-Life Applications” on 23 September 2026 at 10.00 a.m. at Keerthi Hall. A total of 200 students participated in the programme.

The programme commenced with the welcome address delivered by A. Sivanandhini of I B.Sc. Mathematics. Dr. M. Revathi, Principal, honoured the Chief Guest, Dr. R. Malarvizhi, Assistant Professor – GL, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal, with a memento. Harini Mohanraj of I B.Sc. Mathematics introduced the Chief Guest and highlighted her academic and professional achievements.

The Chief Guest, Dr. R. Malarvizhi, interacted enthusiastically with the students and explained the connection between mathematics, artificial intelligence, and real-life applications. Her engaging presentation helped the students understand the practical significance of mathematics in emerging technologies. The students participated actively and followed the session with great interest.

As part of the programme, a paper presentation was also conducted, in which more than 30 students enthusiastically presented their papers. The activity provided an opportunity for the students to enhance their knowledge, presentation skills, and interest in mathematical applications.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by J. Selvabharathi of II B.Sc. Mathematics, who expressed her gratitude to the Principal, Chief Guest, faculty members, and students for their valuable contributions towards making the seminar meaningful and successful.
