Pavai Arts and Science College for Women organized a program on “Career Awareness on Company Secretaryship Course” at Keerthi Hall on 10.09.2026. The program commenced with a prayer song and Tamil Thai Vazhthu rendered by the students. Ms. S. Pradeepa of II B.Com welcomed the gathering.

CS Harish M, Chairman, ICSI Salem Chapter was introduced by Ms. S. Subhashini, II B.Com CA. he explained the meaning and types of companies and also discussed their rules, responsibilities, job descriptions, and career opportunities. He encouraged students to consider the Company Secretaryship course as a promising professional career.

Dhanabal N, Executive Officer, ICSI Salem Chapter was introduced by Ms. S. Mamathy, II B.Sc AI&DS. He explained the three major stages of the CS course – Foundation, Intermediate and Final. Students gained a clear understanding of the course progression, examinations, and opportunities available after completing each level. He also explained how students could plan their studies systematically and complete the required stages before progressing to the next level.

The Company Secretaryship Awareness Programme helped students gain a clear understanding of the CS course, including its eligibility, course structure, registration process, roles, and responsibilities of a Company Secretary. Students became aware of the career opportunities and scope of Company Secretaryship in the corporate and business sectors. The programme enhanced their knowledge of professional skills and practical training requirements and motivated them to consider Company Secretaryship as a promising professional career option. Overall, the programme encourages students to explore CS as a promising professional career option and make informed decisions about their future careers.

The session enriched students with valuable insights into start-up opportunities, future business goals and entrepreneurship. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. R. Sahana of II B.Sc. CS, followed by the National Anthem.
