On 02nd May 2022, a special address on “Leadership is an Art, Learn and Serve it by Heart” was conducted in Ananda Arangam at 2.30 p.m. The programme commenced with the prayer song and TamilthaiVazhthu by students followed by lighting the Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries. Ms.J.Shivani of II M.Sc. Mathematics welcomed the gathering.
Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Institutions honoured the chief guest with shawl and memento. In his presidential address he stated that women should be empowered and should enlighten themselves first, family next and the nation as a whole. He assured that this Women Empowerment program will imbibe the leadership quality and inspire the students to become leaders in near future.
Ms. K.S.Janani of I B.Com introduced the Chief Guest. The Guest of honour Dr.R.Kavitha Sankar, Chairman, Rasipuram Municipality, asserted that leadership, a fine quality is both art and science and is built by self-confidence. She said that to become a leader one should be a reader. She continued that though women face hurdles both in family and society, they shine as successful leaders by framing their own principles and following them without any compromise at any cost with great responsibility. She then said that a genuine leader is not a searcher but a moulder of consensus who always seek a solution for problem or convert them into opportunity to prove their leadership. She also listed the qualities of a good leader such as right decision making, thinking out of box, kind enough to switch bad into good concept, involvement, confidence in tackling problems and most of all bearing pain. She further cited Sudhamurthy and Manya Singh, the rising stars who worked hard enduring pain and humiliation to make their dreams come true. She then insisted the students to attend competitive exams apart from focusing on getting a degree. She concluded her speech by asking the students to fix a target, move forward with hard work, be disciplined and wished them all success by making positive feedbacks by their actions and fly high in their life.
Smt.Mangai Natarajan, the Correspondent of Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. In her felicitation, she stated that women should have self-conviction, trust and realize that they are responsible for their own failure and success. She inspired the students to overcome the financial, biological and mental issues undergone in pandemic period. She evocated Paavai Mantra “Own our words and deeds” which has now become a global living concept. She then highlighted that true education provides guts to do right things and slavery and male chauvinism are false concepts which can be eradicated by the way of bringing up the male child. She anticipated the students to have perseverance, cope-up with co-students, praise social workers and render help to the society.
The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by A.V.Fathima of III B.Sc. Computer Science followed by the National Anthem.
Principals of Paavai Instituitions, Dean-Academics, Professors of Faculty Development Department, Heads of various departments and the staff members of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women graced the occasion by their presence.
