Chemistry Association Activity was held on 5th September 2018 on the topic “Periodic Table Elements”. The program began with the prayer song. Four events such as Chem-rally, Quiz- o – chem, Chemalloon and Recichem were conducted for all the students of the Department of chemistry.In the Event Chem-rally each student carried a placard showing the elements in the periodic table. The students then loudly said the names of the elements and atomic number and positioned themselves as in the periodic table.In the event Quiz-o-chem, seven teams having two students each participated. The students eagerly answered the questions raised from the periodic table. In the event, Ms. S.Nandhini, II B.Sc., Chemistry and Ms. B. Keerthana, III B.Sc. Chemistry won 1st and 2nd prize.In the event Chemalloon the students arranged the chemical formula by identifying the chemical names seen inside the balloons. The balloons were blown and burst in order to get the hint inside the balloon. Ms. S.Indhumathi and Ms. K. Baranipriya, III B.Sc. Chemistry won 1st and 2nd prize.In the event Recichem, students were asked to recite the names of the elements that were present in the periodic table in order. The student who recited elements quickly without missing the sequential order was selected. Ms. B. Roja, III B.Sc. Chemistry and Mrs. A.Janaranjanee, II B.Sc. Chemistry won 1st and 2nd prize.
