National Cadet Corps, Army Wing was inaugurated in Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 22.10.2019 in Keerthi Hall at 2.30 p.m. The Inaugural session of the programme started with the prayer song by the students. The dignitaries along with the Guest Speaker lighted the Kuthuvilakku. B.Yamuna of Ist B.Sc, Nutrition & Dietetics welcomed the gathering. Shri CA N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions, presided over the function and in his Presidential Address he stated that the aim of NCC is to develop the traits like confidence, courage, discipline, decorum and winning attitude in the young minds of the students, which is to be followed in every walks of life. He concluded his speech by wishing the troop to achieve lots of success. Smt Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, in her felicitation address, stated that the students of NCC Cadets should first accept the life as it is and involve efficiently to walk in the path of success. She asked the students not to let other women down, expect no lenience and flourish in life with positive attitude. R. Subha dharani of Ist B.Sc, Geology introduced the Guest Speaker Mrs.T.Deepa, Inspector of Police, Sendamangalam Police Station. The Guest speaker in her special address stated that the NCC students can develop self confidence and punctuality through camp and parade training. She motivated the students to be like horse in a race. Mr.Sathyanathan, Army Officer, in his Special address stated that NCC camp training and parade will add credit to the students’ profile and will create instant employment opportunities. M. Harini Ist B.Sc, Nutrition & Dietetics, proposed the Vote of Thanks and the event successfully ended with National Anthem.
