English Literary Association conducted a subject quiz on 18.08.2017 at 11.00 a.m. in Keerthi Hall. The Programme commenced with the prayer song with an invocation to God. Ms.R.Harshavardhini of III B.A. English welcomed the gathering. Ms.S.Yavanarani, lecturer, Department of English read out the Minutes of the previous activity. The participants were from both UG and PG English. They were divided into three teams with four members each. The three teams were named after the mythological figures Cupid, Thyrus and Aphrodite. Ms. S. Nikitha of III B.A. English introduced the team members and told the rules for the competition. The event consisted of four rounds named as Brain Teasers, Work and Authors, Pen name of the authors and Connections. In between each section, students passed on some important and interesting literary terms and words to the audience under the name ‘Knowledge Bite’. Being the quiz master Ms.G.Dharshini of I B.A. English conducted the quiz in an effective and energetic manner. The Principal admired the participants for their fervor and gusto in answering the questions. She also appreciated the winners and encouraged the students to take part in the forthcoming events. She appreciated the Head of the Department, the organizers and the staff members for putting efforts for the event. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. P.Ramyabharathi of II B.A. English. The Programme came to an end with National Anthem.
