Industrial Visit – Tex Valley, Erode

The Department of Commerce, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, organized an industrial visit for 70 second-year Commerce students to Tex Valley, Erode, a leading textile company, on 29.12.2025. The visit was accompanied by four faculty members.

During the visit, the company manager guided the students through the entire production process and explained how textile products are classified based on quality, design, and target market. Students gained firsthand experience of quality control procedures, which are carried out at every stage of production to ensure high standards.

The students were also introduced to packaging strategies, where products are packed in attractive boxes and polybags with proper branding. The manager emphasized the vital role of packaging in protecting products and enhancing their visual appeal in showrooms.

Further, the manager explained the importance of visual merchandising and how products are displayed in showrooms to attract customers. Products are arranged based on themes, seasons, and customer segments, using eye-catching displays to enhance customer interest and purchase decisions.

The session also covered various marketing strategies, including social media promotions, in-store offers, and influencer collaborations. The manager shared valuable insights into how these strategies help in boosting sales and improving customer engagement.

Overall, the visit provided students with practical exposure to real-world business practices, helping them understand key concepts such as product quality management, packaging, marketing, and merchandising. The students found the visit highly informative and expressed their appreciation to the department for organizing this valuable industrial visit to Tex Valley.
