On 17.08.2026, the Department of Tamil, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women conducted a Guest Lecture titled “நவீன தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தின் வளர்சி” at Keerthi Hall.

The program commenced with a prayer song. Ms. V. Priyadharshini from I B.A. Tamil welcomed the gathering. Our beloved Principal honored the Chief Guest with a memento. Ms. S. Hemavarshini from II B.A. Tamil introduced the Chief Guest.

Dr. N. Paramasivam, Associate Professor, VET Arts and Science College, Erode, addressed the students. He spoke on how literature exists in the modern era and how people used literature in the past. He explained these points through small stories and discussed key aspects such as the influence of social change, focus on real-life issues, growth of new literary forms, reflection of contemporary society, and the preservation of Tamil language and culture.

Ms. T. Mithra from II B.A. Tamil proposed the Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem.
