A trekking activity was jointly organized by Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, along with the NSS and NCC units, on October 31, 2025, at Kariyaperumal Malai from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. As part of the event, the students prepared and dispersed around 300 seed balls containing banyan and neem seeds in the surrounding area to promote afforestation and biodiversity.
A total of 259 participants, including 16 faculty members, took part in the program and traveled to the venue in five buses. The event commenced with an awareness session on the significance of tree planting and environmental conservation.
NSS and NCC volunteers actively participated in the seed ball plantation activity, contributing to the enhancement of green cover. The event continued with a trekking session aimed at encouraging physical fitness, teamwork, and a spirit of adventure among the students.
The collaborative effort culminated in a successful program that fostered environmental responsibility and community engagement.
