en undergraduate students from the Department of Geology, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, actively participated in the prestigious two-day National Seminar and Geo-events titled “Geosciences Exploration, Outreach, Discovery, and Education (GEODE–2026)”, held on 09.02.2026 and 10.02.2026. The programme was organized by the Department of Geology and the Centre for Earth Sciences, University of Madras.
The national-level seminar brought together academicians, researchers, scholars, and students from various institutions to discuss recent developments, research findings, and emerging trends in the field of Earth Sciences. The event featured keynote lectures by eminent geoscientists, technical paper presentations, poster sessions, and interactive discussions on topics such as mineral exploration, environmental geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, and sustainable resource management.
During the two-day programme, the participating students from Pavai Arts and Science College actively engaged in academic sessions, technical interactions, and geo-events designed to enhance their practical knowledge and scientific understanding. The seminar provided valuable exposure to advanced research methodologies, innovative technologies, and current challenges in geology and Earth science studies.
At the conclusion of the seminar and geo-events, the following students were awarded participation certificates in recognition of their active involvement and academic engagement:
