The Department of Physics was established in the year 2014 with a view to impart scientific and creative knowledge among the students of rural background.  The main focus is to promote the knowledge of Physics through innovative teaching methods.  

The course offered by the department enables and educates the students to think critically, work creatively, communicate effectively and become technologically competent. The department works to mould the students with better conduct and character, committed to the social needs and national development.  

The Faculty Members of the department also attend frequent training programmes which help them to handle the constantly changing technological trends.  The Department has a team of highly accelerated, qualified and experienced faculty members.

Guest lectures on Nano Science, Quantum Physics and Recent trends in Material Science are conducted regularly. Industrial visits, Soft Skill Training, Classroom Assignments are provided to the students to enable them to expose themselves to the Industrial scenario. Students are encouraged to prepare working models for their subjects thus enhancing their creative and research skills. These are some of the spheres in which the department made its presence felt.
