he Department of Statistics helps students acquire knowledge in respect of conceptual, computational, and mathematical tools for quantifying uncertainty analysing complex data arising from many applications. Education in the Statistics discipline acquaints students with the role played by probabilistic and statistical ideas and methods in the many fields of science, medicine, technology, and even the humanities. The statistics Department’s goal is research and student training in statistics, both theory and applications, and in probability. Throughout its history, the department has been very active in the development of these subjects to advance other fields in the sciences, medicine, engineering and education. Our college also provides instruction in the theory and application of techniques that have been found to be commonly useful and offer an array of recreational opportunities for our students in the form of social, cultural and sports activities.
