The Department of English, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, successfully organized Alumni Guest Lecture Series II on 29 July 2026 at Keerthi Hall. The programme was attended by the Head of the Department of English, the faculty members of the department, and the students. The Head of the Department welcomed and honoured the chief guest with a memento.
The chief guest for the session was Ms. T. Kanagavalli, an alumna of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women from the 2023–2025 batch. She is currently serving as a Team Leader at Hicitizen Life Skills Company, Erode. She delivered an inspiring session titled “Talk Smart, Grow Big: Alumni Session on Communication Skills.”
During her interactive talk, Ms. Kanagavalli emphasized the vital role of communication skills in personal and professional life. She encouraged students to develop effective communication habits and shared practical tips for self-improvement. The key highlights of her session included:
- Developing a regular reading habit to improve vocabulary and broaden knowledge.
- Speaking with clarity and confidence to communicate effectively.
- Strengthening the four essential communication skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Building self-confidence and courage to face challenges and succeed in every stage of life.
The session was highly engaging and motivational, with students actively interacting with the speaker and clarifying their doubts. The programme concluded with positive feedback from the participants, who found the session both informative and inspiring.
