The Department of Physics organized a seminar on “Supercapacitors for High-Performance Energy Storage Applications” on 02.09.2026 at Keerthi Hall, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, Anaipalayam, Rasipuram. The programme was organized to provide students with an opportunity to gain knowledge about supercapacitors and their role in high-performance energy storage applications.
The programme commenced with a Prayer Song presented by the students. Ms. Y. Viveka Varshidaa, III B.Sc. Physics, delivered the Welcome Address. Mrs. S. Ramya, Head of the Department of Physics, honoured the Chief Guest with a memento and delivered the Presidential Address.
Ms. S. Sivapriya, III B.Sc. Physics, introduced the Guest Speaker, Dr. A. Pricilla Jeyakumari, M.Phil., B.Ed., Ph.D., Associate Professor and Head, Department of Physics. Dr. A. Pricilla Jeyakumari delivered a special address on the topic. The session focused on the importance and applications of supercapacitors in high-performance energy storage systems.
The seminar provided students with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of advanced energy storage technologies and their applications. The session was informative and beneficial to the students, particularly in creating awareness about emerging technologies in the field of energy storage.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. C. Dhanooja, III B.Sc. Physics, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, Guest Speaker, faculty members, and students for their support and participation. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
