The Department of Mathematics successfully organized an Outreach Activity – Social Outreach Activity for Community Welfare at Kolinjipatti Village on 31st August 2026. The activity focused on creating awareness about Bank Challan Filling and Savings.
The activity was coordinated by Ms. R. Nandhini, Ms. K. Chithra, and Ms. D. Vidhyaswari, with the participation of 20 students.
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among the villagers about basic banking practices and the importance of savings. The students interacted with the villagers and explained how to fill in a bank challan correctly, including the important details to be entered and the precautions to be taken while carrying out banking transactions.
The students also presented an awareness drama on the importance of savings, using simple and easily understandable situations from daily life. The drama highlighted the benefits of regular savings, careful financial planning, avoiding unnecessary expenses, and setting aside money for future needs and emergencies.
The activity was conducted in a simple and practical manner so that people with limited literacy could easily understand and apply the information in their daily lives. The programme provided the students with an opportunity to interact with the community, develop their communication skills, and contribute to financial awareness and community welfare.
The outreach activity successfully created awareness among the villagers about proper challan filling, basic banking practices, and the importance of developing a regular saving habit. The participating students actively engaged in explaining the concepts and presenting the awareness drama, making the programme meaningful and impactful.
