The Department of Computer Science, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, Anaipalayam, successfully organized an Outreach Activity on 07 August 2026 at Kadanthapatti, with the theme “இணைய பாதுகாப்பு – இனிய எதிர்காலம்”.

The programme aimed to create awareness among the public about safe and responsible digital practices. Faculty members and students actively participated in the programme. As part of the outreach activity, the students visited the local community and interacted directly with the residents to spread awareness about cyber security and online safety.

The students performed an engaging awareness skit highlighting common cyber threats such as online scams, phishing attacks, fraudulent phone calls, OTP fraud, social media misuse, and other forms of cybercrime. The skit effectively conveyed the importance of protecting personal information, using strong passwords, avoiding suspicious links, and practising responsible internet usage.

The interactive performance captured the attention of people across different age groups and encouraged them to remain vigilant while using digital services. The students also emphasized the importance of verifying unknown calls and messages and avoiding the sharing of sensitive information such as passwords, OTPs, and banking details.

Faculty members guided the students throughout the programme, and informative awareness materials were shared with the public. The villagers appreciated the students’ efforts and actively participated in the awareness session by asking questions and sharing their experiences related to digital services and cyber security.

The outreach programme concluded with a message to build a safe, secure, and responsible digital community, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to social responsibility, digital awareness, and meaningful community engagement.
