Hands-on Training on “LED Lights Assembling and Designing Technology”

The Department of Physics successfully organized a Hands-on Training on “LED Lights Assembling and Designing Technology” on 05 August 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Keerthi Hall and Physics Laboratory. The programme commenced with the Welcome Address by Ms. Y. Viveka Varshidaa, III B.Sc. Physics, who warmly welcomed the Guest Speaker, Principal, Head of the Department, faculty members, and students.

The Guest Speaker was introduced by Ms. S. Sivapriya, III B.Sc. Physics, who presented the profile of Er. R. Elavarasan, M.E., Managing Director, Pranav Solution, Krishnagiri. She highlighted his professional expertise and experience in LED lighting technology and welcomed him to share his valuable knowledge and practical insights with the participants. The programme was conducted to provide students with practical exposure to LED technology and to enhance their technical knowledge and hands-on skills in electronics.

He introduced the fundamentals of LED technology, explained the importance of energy-efficient lighting systems, and highlighted the growing career opportunities in the electronics and manufacturing sectors.

A total of 45 students actively participated in the training programme. The students were introduced to the various electronic components used in LED lighting systems, including resistors, LEDs, drivers. He explained the working principle of LED lights, circuit design, safety precautions, and testing methods.

During the practical session, participants were guided through the complete process of assembling and designing LED lights. Students learned to identify electronic components, perform soldering, assemble LED circuits, connect power supplies, test the assembled units, and troubleshoot common faults. The hands-on activities helped them understand the practical applications of the theoretical concepts learned in the classroom.

He also shared valuable insights on quality control, maintenance of LED lighting systems, and entrepreneurship opportunities in the field of LED manufacturing and energy-efficient technologies. Students actively interacted with the expert, clarified their doubts, and gained confidence through practical experience.

Throughout the programme, the participants showed great enthusiasm and involvement. The interactive training enhanced their technical competence, problem-solving ability, and practical skills. The students appreciated the opportunity to gain industry-oriented knowledge through real-time hands-on learning.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. M.Rithanya, I B.Sc. Physics, who expressed her sincere gratitude to the Guest Speaker, Principal, Head of the Department, faculty members, and all the participants for their valuable support and contribution in making the programme a grand success. The training successfully achieved its objective of equipping students with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge in LED Lights Assembling and Designing Technology.
