The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Paavai Arts and Science College for Women, organized an online guest lecture on “Lifestyle Management of PCOS: The Role of Diet and Physical Activity” on 04.08.2026 for first-year students.

The programme was graced by Dr. M. Revathi, Principal, whose presence reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and health awareness among students.

The resource person, Ms. K. Jananishree, delivered an informative and engaging session on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), explaining its causes, prevalence, common symptoms, and long-term health implications. She emphasized the importance of adopting a balanced diet, maintaining regular physical activity, and making healthy lifestyle choices to manage PCOS effectively, improve hormonal balance, and enhance overall well-being.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which students actively participated by raising queries and sharing their perspectives. The lecture enhanced students’ understanding of evidence-based lifestyle approaches to PCOS management and encouraged them to adopt healthier habits. The programme received positive feedback from both students and faculty, while the online mode ensured convenient participation for all attendees.
