On 27 July 2026 TO 30.07.2026, the Department of Placement and Training of Paavai Arts and Science College for Women organized an insightful training Program on “Placement Oriented Employability Skill Training Program” at Keerthi Hall. The programme featured Mr. M. Veera Kumar, Program Manager, Magic Bus India Foundation, as our Chief Guest.

The programme commenced with a soulful prayer song followed by Tamilthai Vazhthu. Ms.A.Devasriakshaya – III – B.C.A, & Ms.R.Gomathi Sri – III – B.Sc.,CS(AI&DS) warmly welcomed the gathering. Ms.S.Inbashree introduced the esteemed guest speaker, paving the way for an informative and inspiring session. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of safety in personal, academic, and professional environments.
Objectives of the Employability Skill Training Program
The Magic Bus India Foundation programme, sponsored by Reliance Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aims to empower college students by enhancing their employability, life skills, and career readiness. The programme focuses on developing essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management. It also provides career guidance, digital literacy, financial literacy, and industry-oriented training to improve students’ employment prospects. Through workshops, mentoring, and placement support, the programme prepares students to meet the expectations of the modern workplace and pursue higher education or meaningful careers.
Day – 1 (27.07.2026)
The programme focused on helping students develop self-awareness, self-confidence, and essential life skills. Students identified their strengths, weaknesses, dreams, and aspirations, learned to build a positive self-image, and improved their confidence. They also learned to set SMART goals, prioritize tasks, and manage their time effectively, preparing them for academic success and future career opportunities.
Day – 2 (28.07.2026)
The programme focused on developing students’ personal and communication skills. It covered self-awareness, goal setting, and time management, enabling students to understand themselves better and set SMART goals. Students also learned verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and assertive communication to improve their interpersonal skills. In addition, the programme included stress management, creating a positive first impression, and developing adaptability, resilience, and a growth mindset, helping students build confidence and prepare for academic, personal, and professional success.
Day – 3 (29.07.2026)
The programme focused on developing students’ interpersonal, decision-making, digital, and financial skills. Students learned to build healthy relationships, work effectively in teams, and manage conflicts. They were introduced to the decision-making process and problem-solving techniques to make informed decisions and handle challenges effectively.
Day -4 (30.07.2026)
The programme focused on preparing students for financial awareness and career readiness. Students learned the importance of saving money, personal budgeting, and the process of opening a bank account, including the required documents and procedures. The programme also covered interview preparation through mock interviews and practice sessions, helping students improve communication, self-awareness, and confidence. Students were guided in creating effective CVs and cover letters and learned about workplace rights, professional conduct, and safeguarding practices to help them transition successfully into a formal work environment
