The “Tamil Nadu Heat Wave Action Plan Awareness” programme was conducted successfully at Pavai Arts and Science College for Women on 16.04.2026.

Dr. E. G. Wesley, Namakkal District Youth Red Cross (YRC) Coordinator, participated as the special guest and presided over the event. In his address, he elaborated on the health issues faced by the general public, especially students, due to the severe heat waves during the summer season.

He also created awareness among students about protective measures against extreme heat, the importance of a nutritious and cooling summer diet, and methods to prevent dehydration.

At the end of the programme, fruit tree saplings were distributed to students to emphasize environmental protection and promote greenery.

A large number of professors and students from the college participated in this awareness programme.
