Dr. R. Poongodi, HoD, Department of Geology, and Dr. Lt. G. Prema, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, participated in the Regional Workshop-cum-Orientation Programme for UBA Coordinators organized by the Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI) – Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, with the approval of IIT Delhi.

The programme was held at St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappalli, on 09.03.2026.

UBA Coordinators and Co-Coordinators from various participating institutes attended the programme.

The Chief Guest, Dr. E. Somasundaram, Coordinator (UBA) and Director (ABD), Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore – 3, delivered a detailed lecture on the topics “Understanding Rural Realities,” “Technology Customisation,” and the “UBA Action Plan 2026–2027.”

The session was highly informative, elaborate, and beneficial to all the participants.
